About Us
Ontonagon Baptist Church is an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church. This means that we belong to no denominational organization and everything we believe and teach comes solely from the Word of God. We strive to teach and live Biblical Christianity every day.
Our Pastor
Pastor Virgil Ruchti has been serving at Ontonagon Baptist Church since October of 2020. Pastor Ruchti grew up in rural Minnesota and his wife Cynthia grew up in the Lower Penninsula of Michigan. He graduated from Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC in December of 2013 and served as the Assistant Pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Willmar, MN from November 2017 until he took God's call to come to Ontonagon. He and his wife met at Bible College in 2012 and were married in 2014. They have been blessed with 3 children.
